The Hand-Painted Kitchen That Stops People in Their Tracks

Philip Charles Collection, Isle of Man

The Challenge

Mr and Mrs K had done their research. They’d spoken to several companies on the island, looked at what was available, and formed a very clear view of what they wanted, and more importantly, what they wouldn’t accept. They demanded quality that you could see and feel in every detail. They also had a tight timeline. And they weren’t prepared to let one compromise the other.

The Solution

The Philip Charles Collection was exactly what they were looking for, and the moment they walked into the showroom, they knew it. You can feel the difference before you’re told about it. The weight of the doors. The smooth action of the drawers.

The hand-painted doors have a depth that spray-finished cabinets simply don’t replicate. Between the windows, two Neff ovens sit in a run of base units, balanced and considered. A microwave is integrated into the island, keeping the worktop clear and the layout clean.

The dresser is the room’s quiet showpiece. Remote-controlled LED lighting that adjusts from a cool, functional white for cooking to a warm amber glow for evening ambience. Shaker panels on the island sides add texture and craftsmanship to a surface that would otherwise be plain. Quartz stone worktops complete the picture.
