A Bespoke Kitchen on the Isle of Man from the Philip Charles Collection
The Challenge
Mr and Mrs K didn't come to us for a new kitchen. They came to us for a new ground floor. They had a beautiful home and an ambition to connect every room at ground level, kitchen, snug, dining room, and utility, into something that felt like it had always been designed that way. What they had was a dated white gloss kitchen and a few disconnected spaces. What they wanted was something that felt like them.
The Solution
The kitchen anchors the whole ground floor and features handcrafted dark green cabinetry with an off-white island. It feels rich without being heavy and considered without being cold. It’s a space that works just as hard on a quiet Tuesday evening as it does for a room full of friends and family.
The same colour and craftsmanship flows through into the snug, and again into the dining room, where two bespoke bar cabinets sit either side of the fireplace like they were always meant to be there. A space that earns its place at a dinner party and earns it again the morning after.
Even the utility room received the full treatment, because a home this carefully considered deserves more than an afterthought at the back door.
The result is a ground floor that finally feels like one home, not a series of rooms that happen to be connected.
