The Manor House Kitchen
Sheraton in British Racing Green, Isle of Man
The Challenge
This house in Castletown had the kind of quiet confidence that comes with age and good bones. Unfortunately, the kitchen didn’t. It was functional enough, but it wasn’t keeping up with the rest of the house. Mr and Mrs B wanted something with proper depth to it, warm, rich, and considered. They wanted to hand the whole project over to someone they could trust while they were away over the summer. This is where we proved our worth.
The Solution
This house had good bones. It just needed a kitchen to match. We stripped everything back and started again, before fitting a Sheraton kitchen in British Racing Green and Limestone that finally does justice to the home around it.
The colour combination does something interesting: the green is deep and confident, the limestone keeps it from feeling heavy. Thirty millimetre quartz stone worktops run throughout, solid and cool to the touch. A bespoke oak media wall anchors one end of the room, part storage, part statement, with lighting you can adjust from bright and practical to warm and atmospheric, depending on whether it’s a school morning or a dinner party. Behind the sink, Dekton antique mirror panels add depth and a touch of something unexpected.
The utility and boot room next door were finished to exactly the same standard. Oak worktops, matching units, the same attention to detail. Because a house this considered deserves more than an afterthought at the back door.
