The Sage Green Family Kitchen
Sheraton Inset on the Isle of Man, Onchan
The Challenge
Mr and Mrs C were extending their home in Onchan and, with a newly enlarged kitchen space to fill, wanted something that felt both contemporary and warm. Modern enough to reflect the new addition to the house, human enough to feel like home. The island needed to be the centrepiece, the place the family naturally gravitated to and the appliance storage needed to be serious without dominating the room.
The Solution
Sage Green is one of those colours that does something quietly remarkable in a kitchen. It’s contemporary and calm at the same time, fresh without being cold, distinctive without shouting. Paired with stainless steel trims and Dekton Kira worktops, the overall effect is a room that feels considered rather than decorated.
The island was designed entirely to the client’s specification. The hob sits flush on the surface. A wine fridge is tucked neatly underneath. Open oak shelving, warm, tactile and the perfect counterpoint to the cooler Dekton, runs along one end. It’s the kind of island you cook at, eat at, and linger around long after the plates have been cleared.
Along the perimeter wall, a full tower of Neff appliances: two ovens, a microwave, and a coffee machine, are all integrated. A Quooker Flex with Cube tap handles boiling, filtered, and sparkling water from a single fixture, meaning one less appliance on the worktop, one more thing that works exactly as it should.
